Localizing Photo to Movie

If you want to help translate Photo to Movie into a new language, follow the instructions here. If your native language is not listed, please contact us and we'll get you started.

These are the steps required to translate Photo to Movie to a new language:

  1. Email us and confirm that no one else is working on your language.

  2. Download Qt Linguist.

  3. Download one of the language packs below and unzip the file.

  4. Translate the five .ts files using Qt Linguist (see Working with Qt Linguist below).

  5. Return the updated translation files to us (individually or zipped) as explained in confirmation email from step 1.

Each language pack includes a translation source file (.ts) for Application, Rendering, Transitions, MediaBrowser, and PhotoToMovie.

Working with Qt Linguist

Download Qt Linguist for your platform (Windows or Mac OS).

Read the One Minute Guide to Using Qt Linguist.

Test your localizations. You need to use Photo to Movie 4.7.0.2 or later. DOWNLOAD HERE.

Mac OS

  1. Find the Photo to Movie 4.7 application and Control-click on it and choose Show Package Contents.

  2. Navigate to the Contents/Resources/Localizations subdirectory.

  3. Using Qt Linguist, use the menu item File > Release to create a .qm file from your translations.

  4. Copy the resulting .qm file into the Localizations subdirectory from above.

Windows

  1. Find the PhotoToMovie.exe file. This will be located somewhere in Program Files.

  2. Using Qt Linguist, use the menu item File > Release to create a .qm file from your translations.

  3. Copy the resulting .qm file into the Localizations subdirectory located in the same directory as PhotoToMovie.exe.
